Antique Rosenthal & Co. Gold Trimmed Porcelain Rose Scallop Shell Dish 9" Diam.
Dimensions: 10" long, 9" wide, 2-1/2" tall
This antique Rosenthal piece is in the shape of a scallop shell and has floral embossed design on the hinge end of the shell. The inside edge of the dish has sponged gold under-glaze and the textured flowers and floral designs on the shell hinge also have gold embellishments. There are antique colored detailed flower images on the inside of the bowl. The bottom of the bowl is stamped with a "W" and has a green Rosenthal under-glaze makers mark that puts the manufacture date of this dish as between 1891-1906.
Pre-owned condition. No chips or cracks. Some light wear to the gold embellishing on the edges of the bowl. See photos for details.
