Style 524 is made from 100% pure graphite filament yarn in a multiple braid construction. A proprietary process with a passive corrosion inhibitor treats each individual yarn. This is a special high quality graphite yarn excellent for nuclear applications where low sulfur and improved oxidation resistance is desired. Reduced levels of alkali metal oxidation catalysts contribute to improved oxidation resistance.
Style 524 is manufactured in strict accordance to AP Services’ QA program to meet the most demanding specifications of the nuclear industry. Complete traceability along with chemical analysis is available for each lot. Meets or exceeds GE spec. D50YP12 and NEDC31735P.
New surplus. Obtained from a facility that required individual unit testing. Item may show signs of mounting/testing, but is in otherwise new condition. See photos for details.
