Crestron ST-COM 2 RS-232/422/485 COM Port Module
The ST-COM is a Cresnet® expansion module that provides two independent bidirectional RS-232/422/485 COM ports. Typical applications include control of display devices, switchers, lighting systems, security systems, and more. The ST-COM may be used to provide a serial control interface at a remote location, or may be rack mounted in the central equipment cabinet to expand the number of control system ports.
Connectors:
-COM A-B: (2) DB9 male, bidirectional RS-232/422/485 ports; Up to 115.2k baud; hardware and software handshaking support -
NET: (2) 6-pin RJ11 female, Cresnet slave ports, paralleled; Connect to Cresnet control network
-12VDC: (1) 2.5mm barrel DC power jack; 12 Volt DC power input (PW-1205 power pack included)
Indicators:
-PWR: (1) green LED, indicates power supplied from Cresnet network or local power pack
-NET: (1) amber LED, indicates communication with Cresnet system
-RXD, COM A– B: (2) red LEDs, indicate data signal reception at corresponding COM port
-TXD, COM A–B: (2) red LEDs, indicate data signal transmission at corresponding COM port
-RTS, COM A–B: (2) red LEDs, indicate corresponding COM port is ready to receive data if handshaking is enabled
-CTS, COM A–B: (2) red LEDs, indicate a “clear to send” signal from the device connected to each corresponding COM port Power
Requirements:
-Power Pack: 0.5 Amp @ 12 Volts DC; 120 Volts AC, 60 Hz power pack, model PW-1205, included
-Cresnet Power Usage: 2.5 Watts (0.11 Amp @ 24 Volts DC) with no power pack connected
