Hand Carved Inuit Eskimo Soapstone Walrus Hunter Fisherman Statue Figurine 14" Long

This unique statuette is hand carved from natural soapstone and depicts a Inuit/First Nations hunter/fisherman with a Walrus catch. The hands of the hunter have a small hole drilled in them as does the Walrus so a thread can be strung through to emphasize the motion of the hunter pulling the walrus to shore. The existing thread has been pulled through the walrus and will need to be either restrung or replaced.
Pre-owned condition, minimal wear and no damage to the statue. Some faint scratches and pitting from age, handling and the natural surface of the stone. See photos for details.
